Walsall debrief: Intensity issues, lack of attacking threat and defensive dangers
Walsall crashed out of the FA Cup in the third round after Norwich City condemned them to a 5-1 defeat at Carrow Road on Sunday.
Matej Jurasek opened the scoring on 15 minutes, before Jovon Makama had completed his hat-trick just 10 minutes after the restart.
Courtney Clarke reduced the arrears with a stunner from distance for Walsall, but Tony Springett put the seal on the win in stoppage time.
Here are the main talking points from the Saddlers' FA Cup drubbing.
Puts football into perspective
The tie was overshadowed by the sad news that a Norwich supporter had passed away at the conclusion of the game.
The Express & Star would like to send our heartfelt condolences to the supporter's family and friends at this difficult time.
Lack of intensity

Walsall have come off the back of a relentless festive fixture schedule and preparations had also been disrupted by the snowfall that hit the country last week.
But the passive nature of the performance at Norwich made it comfortable for them to find space between the lines and in behind.
