'I call him mad dog': James Morrison makes Jayson Molumby quip and insists West Brom cannot dwell on Ryan Mason sacking
Interim boss James Morrison insists Jayson Molumby is 'truly passionate' about West Brom - and has nicknamed the midfielder 'mad dog'.
Molumby has returned to the fold in recent weeks having faced time on the sidelines due to injury.
It has been a frustrating period for Albion and Molumby as they failed to address a slide of ten straight away defeats that culminated in Ryan Mason losing his job this week.
Molumby gave Mason arguably the best moment of his reign - as he netted a last minute winner in a three goal comeback against Swansea at The Hawthorns.
The midfielder ran to the bench to embrace Mason after the goal - which many though may have been a turning point for his time in charge.
But it wasn't and Mason was sacked on Tuesday - with Albion sitting 18th in the Championship.
Molumby spoke to the press after the latest defeat to Leicester and apologised to supporters.
Speaking ahead of Albion's FA Cup clash with Swansea, interim boss Morrison insists Molumby feels the Albion situation more than anyone.
And he insisted there is no time to dwell on Mason's sackings - and Albion's players have to move on.
Morrison said: "Obviously everyone's got their different personalities and Jason wears it on his sleeve. I think we all know that.
"I call him 'Mad Dog' for a reason. He truly is passionate about this football club and I think he feels it most about the current squad.
"I've had a couple of chats with Jayson. Hopefully he'll come around in a better space.
"We've got no time to dwell on what's happened. We've got a job to do. That's the main focus starting on Sunday."
