Joe Wildsmith

A deflection killed him for the goal although he did seem to dive after the ball. Aside from that, comfortable with a good punch late on and did okay following a Boxing Day to forget.

Better 6

George Campbell

Almost put Albion ahead and then he did, with a towering first half header. Was unfortunate for the QPR goal was he was penalised for a very soft foul. Did okay aside from that, good in possession and assured.

Goal 7

Nat Phillips

Best game in a while for Phillips. Assured, won his headers and just looked more calm and comfortable, certainly as the game wore on. Set up a chance early on for Johnston and then headed home what turned out to be the winner.

Winner 7

Charlie Taylor

Needed a response from Boxing Day and got it. In at centre half and did well, more so because he was not noticeable. Quiet and assured and put a in a big tackle late on with QPR getting forward.
