After a five-match winless run, The Pics brought some festive cheer to Dales Lane with a strong start, as Nick Clayton-Phillips brought down a long ball forward and looped it over the goalkeeper within 15 minutes.

Rushall then won a penalty when Jamie Willets was fouled and Mansfield Town loanee McKeal Abdullah slotted home the spot-kick to double their lead.

The hosts maintained their momentum in the second half when Alex Moore headed home Carter Lycett's cross to make it 3-0, before Lucas Weir grabbed a goal back for Leek.

But two late Liam McAlinden finishes wrapped up the comprehensive win before Christmas.

The substitute found his first from a tight angle before rifling the ball into the top corner in the final moments of the match for his second and Rushall's fifth.

Elsewhere in the league, Hednesford played out a 0-0 draw at Warrington Town.

In the National League North, Kidderminster Harriers impressed with a 1-0 win over league leaders AFC Fylde.

It was a lively start to the game as both sides wrestled for control, but it was Harriers that struck within six minutes at Aggborough.

Ashley Hemmings drove forward before crossing into the box, as Ryley Reynolds set up Reece Devine for a low finish.

Fylde responded and hit the post as they chased an equaliser, while Hemmings twice came close to doubling Harriers' lead.

Both sides had chances in a competitive second half, but the hosts were good value for their lead and maintained control over the fixture.

Reynolds had a late effort tipped wide by the goalkeeper and were able to hold on to their advantage to see out the game.

In the Southern Central Premier, Halesowen Town fell to defeat against Leiston.

The visitors took the lead within 15 minutes before doubling it in the 28th minute to take control of the game.

The Yeltz got back into the match in the 73rd minute when Jim Kellermann stole the ball and found substitute Jason Cowley, who rode a challenge and played in Fin Holmes who found the bottom corner via a clearance that came back to him.

But it was not enough to stop them from falling to their first defeat since mid-October.

Meanwhile, Stourbridge were denied a late winner by the officials in their draw with Bury Town.

Jenson Sumnall dragged Stourbridge level in the first half and Zidan Sutherland thought he had won it for them in the 86th minute, but it was chalked off for handball.

In the Northern One West, Chasetown lost 4-2 at home to Witton Albion, while Darlaston Town beat Trafford 1-0 after Callum Knowles' finish shortly after the start of the second half.

Sporting Khalsa lost 1-0 at Congleton Town, while Stafford Rangers were beaten 3-0 by Avro.

In the Northern One Midlands, Lichfield City lost 1-0 at Anstey Nomads thanks to a 32nd minute finish.
