With club captain Jed Wallace sidelined - it has been midfield regular Alex Mowatt who has been donning the armband in recent months.

But in his absence Mason had a decision to make. He opted to go with fellow midfielder Jayson Molumby, a decision that some supporters were unhappy with.

Many thought he was not suitable given his silly dismissal that proved costly in the recent defeat away at Coventry City.

However, Molumby stepped in and did a good job as Albion ran out 2-0 winners over Sheffield United.

But could there have been a better suited candidate who could have taken the role?
