Non-league round-up: Halesowen snatch a last-gasp point in 10-goal thriller

Halesowen rescued a point with a dramatic 98th-minute equaliser in an extraordinary 5-5 draw at AFC Sudbury in the South Premier Central.

Sudbury took a 2-0 lead inside 24 minutes through Callum Page and Fin Corrigan, but Rob Evans curled a free-kick into the top corner to halve the deficit after the restart. 

Page doubled his tally to restore the hosts' two-goal cushion, before the Yeltz were handed a lifeline when Fin Holmes converted from the spot. 

Halesowen were level less than 60 seconds later when Kien Connolly added the finish touches to a sweeping attack.

The drama was endless and Sudbury took the lead again thanks to Ben Cassidy after Holmes had missed a penalty minutes before. 

He made amends by making it 4-4 to set-up a frantic finale during eight minutes of stoppage time. Liam Pearce looked to have clinched maximum points for Sudbury until veteran Tyrone Barnett salvaged a point at the death.

That leaves Halesowen in seventh in the table, two points adrift of the play-off places. 

Kidderminster Harriers reached the FA Trophy fourth round after beating Worksop Town 4-1 on penalties after a goalless draw.

Kam Kandola saw a second half effort cleared off the line for Kidderminster but kept his cool from the spot to convert the winning penalty in the shoot-out. 

Hednesford Town sit three points clear at the top of the Northern Premier after easing to a 3-0 victory against Ilkeston Town at the New Manor Ground. 

Niall Watson opened the scoring for the Pitmen just past the midway point of the first half and Max Sheaf doubled their lead four minutes later. 

Akheem Rose put the seal on the win just past the hour-mark to keep a three-point buffer between Hednesford and second-place Hebburn Town. 

Rushall Olympic remain in the relegation zone after extending their winless run to five games with a 3-2 setback against Warrington Town at Dales Lane.

Carter Lycett and McKeal Abdullah twice helped the Pics come from behind after Matty Waters and Jake Davies-Manton had fired Warrington ahead.

But Rushall would emerge empty-handed after Reece Daly condemned them to defeat with a late stoppage time winner.

Stourbridge ended their 14-match winless run in the Southern Central Premier after winning 3-2 at basement side Royston Town, which still leaves them nine points adrift of safety.

Thomas Avgoustidis gave Royston an early lead but a brace from Aaron Bishop either side of half-time put the Glassboys ahead.

Kian Harness levelled for the hosts just before the hour-mark, although Dom Lewis restored Stourbridge's lead with what proved to be the winner in the 67th-minute.

In the Northern One West, Tommy Thorley salvaged a 1-1 draw for Chasetown at home to Trafford, while second from Darlaston Town were condemned to a 5-0 drubbing at Vauxhall Motors.

Elsewhere, Sporting Khalsa beat Runcorn Linnets 3-1 thanks to Chay Tilt's brace and a solitary strike from Gaz Singh, as Stafford Rangers fell to a 2-1 defeat at Stalybridge Celtic. 

Lichfield City occupy the final play-off spot in the Northern One Midlands after Jude Taylor scored the only goal in a 1-0 win over Corby Town.
