West Brom young star picks up second award as he continues to shine on first senior loan
West Brom success stories are hard to come by at the moment.
There aren't many individuals who are having decent campaigns - aside from the odd few in the Baggies first team.
However, there is one youngster who continues to go from strength to strength away from The Hawthorns - in what is his first taste of sustained first team action.
Young midfielder Harry Whitwell was handed his senior league bow on the final day of last season in a 5-3 win over Luton Town.
It was predicted he may well have been part of Ryan Mason's first team set up for the current campaign.
However, after being linked with a potential EFL loan move, he was sent out to Forest Green Rovers on a season long loan.
He made an immediate impact for Robbie Savage's side with a goal on his debut against Sutton United.
The midfielder has gone on to make 16 starts and three substitute appearances - netting a goal in a 2-1 win over Southend United last month.
And his performances have seen him pick up back to back accolades at his loan club - with two player of the month awards.
He signed for Forest Green having starred in a meeting between Albion under 21s and the non-leaguers in the National League Cup.
And following his move - Savage said: "Harry is an excellent addition who comes with excellent pedigree given his rise through the age groups at West Brom.
"It is a fantastic bit of recruitment. He captained the under 21s the other night and has been part of the first team all summer.
"He has creativity and drive from midfield, he is another brilliant signing.
"The other night he produced a piece of magic coming inside and hitting the cross bar.
"He was powerful, he drove well with the ball in central areas."
