Ryan Mason makes a number of changes for Southampton trip - and one will come as a big surprise to West Brom fans
Ryan Mason has yet again rung the changes for Albion's clash with Southampton - and has left out one of Albion's most in form front men.
Mason made five changes for the trip to Southampton - rewarding the outfield players who came on and made a big difference in the win over Swansea.
But he also made a shock switch in goal - bringing in Joe Wildsmith for Josh Griffiths, after the latter's error in the win over the South Wales side.
It was Wildsmith's first start under Mason - and his first since an ill-fated spell under Tony Mowbray following the departure of Alex Palmer, when Wildsmith made a number of mistakes.
Despite a mistake and a less than convincing performance in the weekend defeat at QPR - Mason has stuck by him as Albion prepare to take on the Saints.
Elsewhere, he has made four other changes with Nat Phillips coming back into the side following suspension, in place of George Campbell.
It looks as though Krystian Bielik, who was one of only a few to come away from the QPR trip with any credit, has moved out to right back.
Elsewhere, Ousmane Diakite has been handed a recall in place of Jayson Molumby who has dropped to the bench - with Issac Price replacing Josh Maja.
And in the other surprise change - Samuel Iling-Junior has come back into the side in place of Mikey Johnston.
The change comes as a surprise - with Johnston having been one of Albion's shining lights in a difficult start to the season.
Albion: Wildsmith, Bielik, Phillips, Mepham, Styles, Mowatt (c), Diakite, Iling-Junior, Price, Grant, Heggebo
Subs: Griffiths, Gilchrist, Campbell, Bostock, Molumby, Johnston, Bany, Maja, Dike
