Kidderminster Harriers boss praises commitment as Hednesford stay top with draw and Rushall endure rain woe - round-up

Adam Murray hailed Kidderminster Harriers' commitment as his visitors delivered a statement victory at high-flying South Shields.

Harriers made it back-to-back wins to underline an improvement in form and climbed to fourth in National League North with a 2-1 success in the north east against the side that sit second.

Returning midfielder David Davis headed in for a deserved half-time lead and Kidderminster made the points safe Kam Kandola kept his cool to slot in a fine finish after weaving through multiple challenges in the box with three minutes remaining. The hosts pulled one back deep into stoppage time but Harriers were home and hosed.

Murray said: "We had a game plan. If we gave them too much respect and gave them too much respect they would've got the better of the game. The players ran through brick walls."

Hednesford Town maintained their place at the summit of the Northern Premier Division despite a 1-1 home draw against fellow high-flyers Warrington Rylands.

Striker Montel Gibson's clinical finish on the spin from the right side of the penalty area after half hour handed the hosts the lead, but Rylands secured a share of the spoils through Alex Kiwomya shortly into the second half.

Rushall Olympic slipped into the relegation places after their clash at third-placed Lancaster City was abandoned after just 30 minutes.

To make matters worse Ian Long's Pics were 1-0 to the good from Carter Lycett's opener, but the clash will be replayed.

Halesowen Town stayed on the coattails of the Southern Premier Central play-offs following a 1-1 home draw against mid-table Kettering Town.

The Yeltz had to fight back at The Grove and it was home marksman Jason Cowley who salvaged a point from the penalty spot.

Stourbridge remain deep in trouble and 10 points adrift of safety after throwing away a 2-0 home lead to lose in the last minute against drop zone rivals AFC Sudbury.

New signing Toumani Sidibe and Jai Verma gave the Glassboys a 2-0 lead by half hour, but Sudbury struck three times in the second period to turn it around. Kien Connolly netted the equaliser and a stoppage-time winner.
