A change that didn't need making

The story going to London was whether Albion could back up that Swansea comeback.

When the team news came in, it quickly turned to a change no one saw coming.

Ryan Mason made a quadruple change against Swansea that turned the tide of that game - and those who came on were rightly rewarded.

But then he also stunned a lot of Albion fans by bringing in Joe Wildsmith to replace Josh Griffiths.

The Albion number one made an error last week and has had the occasional moment this season - in amongst a catalogue of top saves.

So why Mason brought back in Wildsmith - whose only run in the side saw him dropped after a string of errors, was strange.

On the pitch, he didn't really have a save to make, but he looked shaky and in turn the backline looked shaky.
