Aston Villa boss Unai Emery: Arsenal 'clear favourites' for Premier League title
Unai Emery has dismissed suggestions Villa could be title contenders - declaring Saturday’s visitors Arsenal “clear favourites” for the Premier League crown.
Wednesday’s thrilling 4-3 win at Brighton moved Emery’s men up to third in the table and they host the table-topping Gunners on Saturday targeting a ninth win in 10 top flight matches.
Victory would move Villa to within three points of the summit but Emery insists he is not thinking about a possible title challenge.
Asked if his team were in the title race, he replied: “No. They (Arsenal) are clear favourites to win the league.
“We are only trying to compete as well as possible.
