'It would be silly' - Rob Edwards poised for talks as Wolves begin January planning
Rob Edwards admits it would be “silly” for Wolves not to target players with Premier League experience during the January transfer window.
The head coach met with the club’s recruitment team on Tuesday to begin thrashing out plans with the window now just a few weeks from opening.
Edwards acknowledges the club’s strategy will be largely dictated by the state of the Premier League table and cutting the gap toward safety.
But he is keen to bring in players with “know-how” of the top flight. None of Wolves’ six summer signings had previously played in the Premier League.
Edwards said: “I think it's something that we'd be silly not to look at. A little bit of know-how.
