'It's too early' - Aston Villa star reveals what players aren't doing ahead of huge week
Ezri Konsa has dismissed the suggestion Villa might be dark horses for the Premier League title - claiming players aren’t even looking at the table.
Villa are up to fourth after winning seven of their last eight matches and face a huge week with a trip to fifth-placed Brighton on Wednesday, followed by a visit from leaders Arsenal on Saturday.
Unai Emery’s side trail the Gunners by six points but Konsa gave short shrift to the notion they could be surprise title rivals.
Asked if they should be considered dark horses, the England international replied: “No, I wouldn't say that. I won’t speak about the title, I don't think we are.
“Are we in the conversation? No, not at all. Not right now.
