Kidderminster Harriers boss makes 'quality' admission after Marine defeat
Adam Murray claimed Kidderminster Harriers are suffering from a lack of quality after they went down 2-0 at Marine.
The frustrated boss claimed to have been left “almost speechless” after two “massive errors” condemned his team to defeat.
Declan Drysdale fired the home side into a fourth minute lead before uncertainty at the back allowed George Newell to double the advantage in the second half.
Harriers, without several key players due to injury, have won just one of their last four National League matches.
Murray said: “If I am being brutal, we need more quality in the team.
“When you lose someone like (Dan) Mooney, we have lost a little bit of quality at the minute.
“We have started to take all of the risk out of our play. At times on Tuesday night we were just whacking it and believe me, that is not the plan.
“We are not taking responsibility and we are not taking ownership and that is not us.
“I have an awful lot of thinking to do and some big decisions to make. It is two massive, massive errors and we do not give ourselves a chance to be in the game.
“It is not everyone but some individuals just aren’t learning.”
Chasetown remain within striking distance of the top-five in the Northern League West Division after claiming a 1-1 draw at Clitheroe.
Ty Webster fired the visitors into an early lead, with Cameron Lancaster levelling for the hosts midway through the first half.
Gaz Singh came off the bench and scored a hat-trick as Sporting Khalsa cruised past the RAF to reach the next round of the Walsall Senior Cup.
Jayden Hunter put Khalsa in front after just 21 seconds with Singh, who replaced the injured Kartrell Dawkins, scoring either side of the break before completing his treble after Kieron Whittaker had hit the home side’s fourth.
