Priestley Farquharson says hopefully Walsall fans haven't "forgotten" him after he scored on his first league start in over 15 months on Saturday.

Farquharson netted the Saddlers' second goal, as they returned to the top of League Two with a 2-0 win over Harrogate Town at Wetherby Road on Saturday. 

It was the perfect way to mark his significant milestone and Farquharson now hopes it can serve as a platform to build from.

'Wanted to show everyone how good I am'

"I just wanted to show everyone how good I am because sometimes people can forget you," the defender joked.

"They should hopefully remember me after today, but we have such a good squad and it's not just about me."
