Aston Villa face triple injury concern ahead of Premier League clash at Leeds United
Aston Villa will be assessing Amadou Onana ahead of their trip to Leeds United on Sunday, after the midfielder was left out of Belgium's squad to face Liechtenstein.
The Belgian Federation have confirmed that Onana will not feature in the Red Devils' qualifier on Tuesday as a "precaution".
Onana missed six weeks with a hamstring injury earlier in the season, but has been in strong form since returning to action.
The 24-year-old, who has made nine appearances in all competitions for Villa this term, opened his goal scoring account for the campaign in a 4-0 win over Bournemouth before the international break.
He was not involved in training for Belgium on Monday, although Belgian media have not provided details on the nature of the injury.
Ezri Konsa is also an injury concern after he pulled out of England's squad for their 2-0 win in Albania on Sunday, which secured their place at next year's World Cup.
The defender started in the Three Lions' 2-0 victory over Serbia at Wembley Stadium last week, but returned to Villa after feeling "tightness in his calf".
Konsa stayed in England for further assessment, although national boss Thomas Tuchel does not expect it to be serious.
"He will get further assessment in London and he's stayed in London," he recently stated.
"We think it's nothing, we don't even think it's an injury, but it's just a discomfort and not worth the risk."
Lamare Bogarde also returned to Villa after he was ruled unfit to play for Netherlands under-21s during the international break.
Unai Emery is expected to issue an update on the trio in his pre-match press conference on Friday.
Villa, who currently sit sixth in the Premier League, visit Elland Road on Sunday at 2pm off the back of a run of five wins in six league games.
