Former Scotland and Rangers striker on stage in Wolverhampton

A popular Wolverhampton pub is set to welcome former Rangers striker Kris Boyd to the city on International Men’s Day.

The Cleveland Arms is hosting an evening with ex-Scotland international Kris Boyd on Wednesday, November 19.

The evening will feature Boyd on stage discussing his footballing career, as well as his ongoing work with The Kris Boyd Charity.

Now a Sky Sports pundit, Boyd will speak about his playing days and give his opinion on the modern game.

The event will include an on-stage Q&A, a meet and greet opportunity and professional photo for people who purchase a VIP ticket.

VIP entry is from 6pm and standard from 7pm, with the event starting at 8pm.

Boyd played in Scotland with clubs such as Kilmarnock and Rangers and represented his country at international level. Netting 225 goals for Kilmarnock and Rangers, Boyd spent time in America before retiring in 2019 after an 18-year career.

In 2018, the 42-year-old founded the Kris Boyd Charity, a registered charity in Scotland, which he set up following a family tragedy in 2016, when his brother Scott took his own life.
