'I had warned the board': West Brom favourite Youssouf Mulumbu takes another swipe at former Premier League boss
A former West Brom midfielder has taken another swipe at Tony Pulis and insisted he 'warned the board' prior to his appointment.
Youssouf Mulumbu became a firm fan's favourite at Albion - having arrived at the club initially on loan back in 2009.
His move was then made permanent and having helped the Baggies return to the top flight - he would go on to spend five seasons with the club in the Premier League.
Overall he made over 200 appearances for Albion before departing for Norwich City - and going on to sign for the likes of Kilmarnock and Celtic.
Mulumbu aimed a swipe at both Pulis and former director Richard Garlick in a social media post last month - reacting to a picture of him in The Hawthorns tunnel that had been covered up with a pillar.
And he has again taken aim at Pulis in an interview with French outlet Top Mercato - when being asked about his career in England and time at West Brom.
Mulumbu explained that Pulis 'disrupted' everything after being appointed - and he had warned the club's board before his arrival.
Pulis led Albion to a mid table finish - but was axed in 2017 with Albion then going on to be relegated from the Premier League.
Speaking to Top Mercato - Mulumbu said: "I stayed a long time, we managed to keep the club in the Premier League for six years, with players like Peter Odemwingie, Romelu Lukaku, Nicolas Anelka, etc.
"With over 180 matches played, it went really well, with the supporters, until the last year, with Tony Pulis' arrival, who changed everything in the team's playing style and disrupted everything. I had warned the board that it would not last more than six months and that is what happened."
