'Desire to win' - Mat Sadler hails Aden Flint for his early Walsall impact

Flint has been a vocal presence in the backline and has been hailed for helping a youthful group within the Saddlers set-up. 

And Sadler feels that his unrelenting desire to win has commanded respect from everybody in the building since he joined the club in the summer.

'He wants to win' - Sadler on Flint 

"It's always important. I think there is a fine line between if feedback is intentional," boss Sadler said.

"If it's intended to be disrespectful then that's the fine line. Aden definitely flies on the right side of that line because he wants to win. 

"He wants to be a winner, he wants to get the best out of people and that's why he has had the career that he has had. 

"Then when he goes into the dressing room, he's very much so held with respect, and that respect is earned because he gives it back. 

"That will always be the case with us and anytime that I've ever felt over my two-and-a-half years that it hasn't, then I'll act on that. 

"You're right in terms of the way that Aden goes about his work. It's very much on the positive side of what feedback needs to look like to cajole, to get the best out of people and bring on those years of experience that he has.

"Aden has been tremendous for us and continues to show what a leader he is." 

Walsall head into the weekend still occupying the league summit, after Swindon Town drew 2-2 against Notts County in their game in hand on Tuesday night. 

That leaves the Robins in second-place and one-point behind the Saddlers.
