Lucky 13 for Coseley League duo - darts round-up

It was lucky 13 in the Coseley Friday Darts League as Gornal Labour and Grapes both claimed their first wins of the season at the 13th time of asking, writes Paul Walters.

Gornal Labour defeated Gate A 4-2 thanks to Keith Stanley, Josh Cooper, Tony Nicholls and Ray Ward, while Grapes got better of Darlaston Cons 4-2 with wins from James Sherrard, Andy Hallett, Ian Galloway and Mark Jurance.

Hotshots A kept the pressure on the leaders by beating Wednesfield Cons A 4-2 - Jamie Hughes, Ryan O’Connor, Jack Aldridge and Steve Jones doing the damage.

Wednesfield Sunday League leaders Wednesfield Legion came from three down to grab a point against Wednesfield Cons. Dave Lucas, Connor Lucas and Craig Locker put Cons in charge, only for Ryan Bourne, Craig Carey and Dean Fullwood to claim the draw.

Junction went joint top after a 5-1 victory over Three Crowns, courtesy of Mark Curley, Jimmy Handley, Richard Newey, Mikey Harris and Simon Potts.

Glassy Junction remain third after a 5-1 win at The Angel thanks to Jack Aldridge, Luke Griffiths, Rob Thompson, John Aston and Dean Wilkinson.

In the Wolverhampton Tuesday League, Dog B had a great 5-2 victory at Gilberts A with Wozza Brice, Richard Newey, Nathan Jones, Phil Mayo and Jo Tschubenko the Dog winners.

Milestone had a 5-2 victory over Junction D courtesy of Jake Clark, Jason Lucas, Dale Cross, Dan Knowles and Andrew McAfee, while New Gate had a 5-2 away win at Red Lion thanks to Paul Tonks, Martin Foster, Dan Elcock, Chris Hipkins and Darren Horne.

Red Lion B came from 3-2 behind to defeat Dog A in the Tettenhall Wednesday League thanks to Joey Cooper, Billy Jones, Aaron Jones and James Bull, while Swan Compton took a topsy-turvy battle 4-3 at Red Lion A - Dave Gamble, Dodge Booth, John Mycock and Nige Southwick the Swan winners.

And Golden Lion took another close battle, 4-3 at Claregate, with Rob Gibson Snr, Fahran Saunders, Kyle Kendrick and Callum Lees doing the damage.
