West Midlands Snooker round-up: Wednesfield Cons remain top of Division One
Wednesfield Cons retained their place at the Division One summit after beating Hotshots B 3-2.
Second-place Hotshots trail by just one-point after coming from two frames down to defeat fourth-placed Shifnal 3-2.
Landywood also sit within a point of the summit after cruising to a 4-1 victory over Poets Corner courtesy of Robbie James, Mark Joyce, Bill Stanton and Pommy Kang.
Meanwhile, Landywood B enjoyed a fine win at Landywood C, beating their rivals 3-2. Stafford Institute remain bottom of Division One after losing 4-1 at home to Baggeridge Social, who romped to victory thanks to Jamie Spence, David Hall, Dan Petch and Ade Ojelay.
Sedgley WMC won a rollercoaster contest at Shifnal B, as Aaron Sparkes took the deciding frame for the visitors.
Bilston Bowling retained their two-point lead at the top of Division Two after cruising to a 4-1 triumph at Charlemont Bowling Club B courtesy of Nathan Edwards, Wayne Bentley, Jodi Humphreys and Tom Hurst.
Bilston Sports and Social leapfrogged Beaconsfield into second-place, as Graham Cole, Karl Taylor, Michael Smith and Steven Giles guided them to a comfortable 4-1 win.
Landywood D moved into the final promotion spot after beating Poets Corner C 4-1 thanks to Jamie Harris, Danny Ludgate, Craig Meredith and Simon Kelly.
Lee Peach made a 44-break for Poets E, but was unable to prevent his side from falling to a 3-2 defeat against Landywood E, as Colin Kettlewell won the decider.
Jason Jenns knocked in a 42-break for Townsend Social, but wins for Jason Morris, Alex Ake, Richard Scott and Ed Jennings led Woodfield to a 4-1 victory.
In Division Three, Baggeridge climbed to the league summit after Mark Gilbert, Steve Spicer and Wayne Cooper guided them to a 3-2 success in their top of the table battle with Willenhall Liberal.
Warren Bradley won the final frame for Woodfield, as he registered the highest break of the season so far with 56 against Sedgley Ex Service B.
Q Bar Juniors moved to within one-point of the summit with a 4-1 win over Electric B, while Bilston Sports and Social B romped to a 4-1 win over Cannock Cons.
Leaders Old Hall B maintained their 100 per cent record in Division Four with a 4-1 win over Wednesfield RBL and Pelsall Social won by the same score-line against Fordhouses C.
There was no change at the top of Division Five as top three Forty Four C, Rugeley Snooker Club and Forty Four A all emerged 4-1 victors against Fordhouses B, Essington C and Pelsall B.
