West Brom board endorsed by owner Shilen Patel set up to give fans a voice on Albion matters set for first meeting
Ten West Brom fans have been selected to sit on a new fan advisory board - set up to give Albion fans a voice on all matters surrounding the club.
Plans for the first fan advisory board were launched earlier this year - with the endorsement of owner Shilen Patel who has kept the Albion fanbase informed on all matters involving the club, since he took charge in early 2024.
The board, which is part of a wider fan engagement plan is designed to be a dialogue between supporters and the club's key decision makers.
The line-up of the board was announced this week - and includes a range of different Baggies fans from different groups.
The FAB is made up of ten members - with three seats taken by representatives from supporters groups, such as Clare Sidaway for All Access Albion, Sarah Kerton for Proud Baggies and Shin Aujla for Apna Albion.
Two members from the Albion Assembly, a larger group that has been meeting for a number of years were added to the group, with others going through an application and interviewing process that included Julia Regis, wife of Albion legend Cyrille Regis and chair of the Cyrille Regis Legacy Trust.
The scope will focus on the club's strategic vision, business operations, stadium, key matchday issues, heritage issues, community activities and Albion's equality, diversity and inclusion commitments.
The meetings, which will take place four times a season, won't be made up of sporting or on field proposals.
The first meeting is taking place on Thursday October 16 - and information on what is discussed and minutes from meetings will be published online.
The step is the latest move from the club's hierarchy to engage supporters on all matters involving the club.
Since Bilkul Football took ownership of Albion in February 2024 - they have committed to keep fans informed on issues both on and off the field - including the club's financial and PSR issues.
Patel has met with the Albion Assembly - and is regularly seen meeting and talking with Albion fans at home games he attends.
