Round-up: Hat-trick helps Dudley Kingswinford break their duck

Tom Walker bagged a hat-trick of tries as Dudley Kingswinford beat Nuneaton to claim their first points of the season.

Saturday’s 44-5 victory at Heathbrook also lifted DK above the visitors and off the bottom of Regional One Midlands.

Joseph Dunn kicked an early penalty to put the hosts ahead, before William Elsmore went over for the first try of the afternoon.

Walker then claimed his first of the match a minute before the break and DK ran away with it in the second half, with Dunn, Adam Dainty and Joe Webster also going over in a morale-boosting performance. 

Stourbridge remain in striking distance of the summit after a bonus point win away at Drybrook.

The visitors had to soak up huge pressure from the home side in the opening half-hour before Ty Lewis put them in front with the first try of the game.

Jack Teague and Dan Rundle then both went over either side of the break to put Stour in a commanding position, with further scores from Mike Penn and brothers Arthur and Freddie Morgan sealing a 38-20 win.

Lichfield remain in mid-table but picked up two points from an extraordinary 54-47 defeat at home to leaders Newport.

The leg of captain Adam Nunney proved key to Walsall claiming a 43-25 win at home to Paviors in Regional Two Midlands North.

Spectators at Delves Road were treated to 11 tries, with the home side just edging their visitors 6-5 in the final tally. Importantly, five of their scores were converted by Nunney, who also got the afternoon underway with the first try.

Quade Bol and George Hill also went over in the opening half for Walsall, with Toby Smith adding the bonus point score soon after the break.

The latter added a second soon after, with Joe Coleman the last man to go over for the hosts.

Old Halesonians remain rooted to the foot of the Midlands Two West table after going down 28-14 at home to Edwardians.

Stourbridge Lions were edged out in dramatic fashion at home to Crewe in Counties One Midlands West (North).

The visitors escaped with a 25-24 win despite the home side running in four tries, two of which were scored by Luke Bimson.

Burntwood impressed with a 30-22 win away to Whitchurch to move up to third in the table.

But it was another Saturday to forget for Kidderminster in the Midlands West (South) Division, as they were beaten 61-5 at home by Camp Hill.

Willenhall continue to set the pace at the top of Counties Two Midlands West (West) after making it four wins from four with a 47-5 triumph away at Luctonians thirds.

Stafford are also nicely placed, in third, after a tight 14-10 win at home to Clee Hill.

Jordie Purvis and Jaren Qasenivalu scored the tries for the hosts but it was the two conversions by Alex Rock which ultimately proved the difference as the visitors fought back in the second half.

Wolverhampton find themselves at the wrong end of the table after losing 45-13 at Trentham.

Eccleshall continued their perfect start in Counties Three Midlands West (North) with a thumping 69-7 win over Uttoxeter, while Rugeley won 41-26 at home to Market Drayton.

But Stone were edged out 35-34 by Newport thirds, while Cannock conceded 100 points at Barton-under-Needwood.

Bloxwich and Wednesbury both won in Counties Four Midlands West (North), with the latter seeing off Essington 34-11.
