The 22-year-old vowed "to shine" on the biggest stage of his career so far and fulfilled his prophecy with a dominant performance.

Just 18 months into his professional career, Uddin was dangerous from the outset and only rubberstamped his authority with a Round 5 stoppage in front of over 9,000 spectators.

By which point, Uddin had already knocked down Roberts three times in the round with a trio of lethal body shots, before the referee finally put a stop to proceedings with the clock on 2:14.

And after his latest success, the young prospect announced himself as the 'next superstar' in the ring.

"My self-belief has always been there. I know how good I am and can be," Uddin said after the fight.

"We know where we're going to go, one-by-one, grab every title we can.

"I've got my eyes on everyone and everything, want to take people out and inside the distance

"It's nothing personal - it's just business.

"Here's a message for British and world boxing: the sport's next superstar has arrived and it's Hamza Uddin."

Uddin's remains unbeaten in his fledgling professional career, and secured his sixth win and third via knockout.
