Defending champions Hotshots continued their unbeaten start to the season after beating Charlemont Bowling Club 3-2 to remain second.
Faizan Mohammed, Paul Deaville and a winning frame from Karl Ashmore secured victory for Hotshots.
Paul Harper opened with a 53-break but was unable to prevent Shifnal from falling to a 3-2 defeat against Landywood C.
Landywood A suffered a double setback in their title challenge after succumbing to a 3-2 loss at home to both Landywood B and Stafford Institute.
Stafford Institute B lost 3-2 in their bottom-of-the-table clash against Hotshots B with Dave Green, Neil Beckley and Roy Stokes emerging with wins for Hotshots.
Landywood B had a better week after winning 3-2 at Pennefields. The visitors stormed into a 2-0 lead through Riley Parsons and Adrian Rosa, before Colin Reade and Jon Bate pulled a resilient Pennefields level, but Paul Lloyd took the deciding frame for Landywood.
Elsewhere, Poets Corner suffered a 3-2 defeat on their visit to Shifnal.
Bilston Bowling Club remain the only unbeaten side in Division Two, as they extended their lead at the top to four points.
Wayne Bentley's 68-break was the highest in all five divisions, before Lee Edwards and Tom Hurst secured a 3-2 win over Townsend Social Club.

In the Individual Handicap, Jamie Spence delivered breaks of 74 and 41 in a 3-0 victory over Toby Smith, as David Hall fell to a 3-2 defeat against Stephen North despite a 60-break.
