Aden Flint more than happy to pass on experience as two proud personal milestones loom
Aden Flint boasts a stellar Football League career and knows he can help inspire Walsall both on and off the field.
Flint, 36, is one of a trio of highly-experienced members of the Saddlers squad alongside Albert Adomah, 37, and Jamille Matt, 35.
The dominant central defender, who towers at 6ft 6ins, has promotions with Alfreton, Swindon, Bristol City, Sheffield Wednesday and Mansfield Town on an eye-catching CV and will eye the same at the Bescot.
He has made a very positive early impression in the Black Country. Flint was Walsall's star man and opened the scoring with his first goal for the club in Saturday's 3-1 win at Accrington Stanley, which took Mat Sadler's men top.
Flint marshalled a backline with younger colleagues Evan Weir and Harrison Burke, 23, both following suit. Wing-backs Connor Barrett, also 23, and Vincent Harper, who only just turned 25, conclude an impressionable backline at Walsall.
"I think that's probably why I was brought in as well," Flint said when asked about his advancing years.
