The pair have been out of action since pre-season and are yet to feature in a competitive match under new boss Ryan Mason.

They have been edging back to fitness with the Baggies boss explaining they would be in line for a return after the international break.

A time frame wasn't given however the pair returned to training this week as they step up their recoveries.

And Albion skipper Jed Wallace has revealed how much of a boost it has given the squad - and what their returns can do for Albion.

He said: "The group has received another little boost during the week, because Tammer Bany and Daryl Dike have returned to full training.

"The lads who joined late in the summer transfer window are fully settled in now too, which means competition for places is high.

"That will make is even stronger and drive standards as we push each other every day."

Wallace was speaking prior to Albion's Friday night draw with Leicester - as they went into the game on the back of two successive defeats.

He issued a defiant message amid two disappointing losses - insisting it was the nature of the division.

He added: "We don't need to panic, ups and downs are a natural part of football in the Sky Bet Championship.

"You only need to take a look at the unpredictable results last weekend - it doesn't matter who you are or how you've started, anyone can beat anyone in this decision.

"Ultimately, we've got 40 league games remaining and 120 points to play for.
