Courtney Clarke has "more gears to push" at Walsall after strong start
Walsall midfielder Courtney Clarke feels he has "more gears" to push after making an exciting start to life in the Football League.
Clarke made his first league start, replacing the suspended Charlie Lakin, during the Saddlers' 1-1 draw against Fleetwood Town at Highbury Stadium on Saturday.
The 22-year-old, who was originally signed to play as a right wing-back in the summer, has excelled in the centre of the park since arriving from non-league Eastbourne Borough.
Although Clarke is pleased by his early performances at Bescot, he feels there is still more to come from his game.
"I haven't exceeded my expectations, I've done well from where I've come from, but I've always got more gears to push," he declared.
