Racegoers can attend on any Thursday or Saturday evening throughout the month and get in without charge simply by showing up at the turnstile, where they will be granted entry to the track’s general admission area.

From there, they can grab drinks from the bar, food from the snack bar and place bets with either Tote staff or on-course bookmakers while getting close to the action.

Paul Mason, stadia manager at Monmore, said: “We’re delighted to be offering free general admission for our evening meetings for the whole of October.

“It’s an exciting period for Wolverhampton with two tracks being open in the city, and we’re keen to show what we have to offer at Monmore and emphasise that we’re very much still here.

“Hopefully, we can attract some nice crowds who enjoy the racing and, fingers crossed, keep coming back to Monmore in the months to come.”

Doors open for both Thursday and Saturday meetings at 5.30pm, with the first race at 6.14pm and 6.31pm respectively. Racegoers will also have the option to purchase a race programme at the turnstile for £2.

Longacres Noah looks to maintain his stunning recent form for Patrick Curtin and claim a fourth win in succession in a 264 Maiden at 7.39pm.

Gary Griffiths’ Jayne Louise also looks for four in a row in the other 264 Maiden at 8.13pm while in the Ladbrokes.com 264 later on (9.23pm), Kim Billingham-Hine’s in-form sprinter Newinn Bachelor is worth keeping an eye on.
