Forget the Derby County hoodoo - here is why John Eustace is the man for West Brom to worry about
Albion's record against Derby County has been well publicised ahead of this weekend.
An unofficial bogey team for Albion - the Baggies have won just three times in their last league meetings against Derby and the record going further back isn't much better.
However, there is another unwanted run that does not look good for Albion going into the weekend and it is owing to their boss John Eustace.
He kept Derby up last season after arriving from Blackburn but hasn't had the best time of it this season with just two points from four games.
However his record against Albion across a number of clubs does look good.
Here is how the Solihull born former Kidderminster boss has done against Albion over the years.
Birmingham City
Eustace was on to something at St Andrews - but despite having the Blues in the play-off spots after years languishing down the bottom of the league he was sacked by the new US owners and replaced with Wayne Rooney.
We all know how that ended up.
Anyway, before his sacking he had a hold over Albion. He was in the dugout the night Steve Bruce's Baggies were beaten 3-2 in a game that many thought would spell the end of Kyle Bartley's Albion career before he rose again.
He did just as well against Carlos Corberan - with a 2-0 win at St Andrews when current Baggie Krystian Bielik got on the scoresheet.
And then in what was his final game in charge - his side came from behind at home to beat Albion 3-1.
Blackburn Rovers
Just the one game in charge against Albion - but technically you could say two.
A drab 0-0 draw at Ewood Park was then followed by a clash at The Hawthorns in February this year.
Eustace was still technically the manager of the club at that time - but everyone knew he was going to Derby.

In his absence Blackburn strolled to a 2-0 win at The Hawthorns, which can't really go down as a win for Eustace.
Derby County
He has the EFL Cup shoot-out victory against Albion that we won't count in this league record.
But last season he showed how much he enjoys The Hawthorns.
His Derby side walked all over a limp Albion - as they won 3-1 and all but ended the Baggies' play-off hopes. It all but ended Tony Mowbray's time in charge too - as he was sacked that evening.
And it gave Eustace another success against Albion - with four wins and a draw from five matches against them.
