The West Brom players set to be out of contract in summer 2026 including three forwards

With the transfer window shut Ryan Mason now knows what he will be working with at least until January.

Nine new faces came in - while Albion also moved players on for decent transfer fees.

Prior to that, there were also a number of senior players who left following the end of their West Brom contracts.

John Swift departed and late signed for Portsmouth - while Semi Ajayi's time came to an end at the club and he penned a deal with Hull City.

The other senior departure came in the form of Grady Diangana - whose future was confirmed close to the deadline when he signed for La Liga side Elche.

The topic of next summer seems far away just four games into the new campaign - but planning and work for forthcoming transfer windows will already be taking place.

So what big questions will they face next summer and how many players will be out of contract. Here is a run down of the six whose contracts run out in 2026.

Josh Maja

Signed on a free transfer back in 2023 - Maja was handed a three year deal at The Hawthorns before enduring a tough first season with injuries.

Twice he was ruled out, and did not come back until the summer of 2024.

He hit the ground running last season and ended as Albion's top goalscorer despite not playing after January due to injury.

He has worked his way back to fitness and has been in the squad this season but finds himself behind Aune Heggebo in the pecking order.

Maja is out of contract next summer and his fate is going to be an interesting one. A good season will no doubt see him offered a new deal - but at the same time he will be hot property and other clubs could eye him on a free.

Jed Wallace

The Albion captain's four year deal runs out next summer.

This season he has found some form after a frustrating campaign game time wise.

He was one of Albion's standout players against Stoke - and with the skipper earning high praise from Ryan Mason he is very much part of the plans this season.

Karlan Grant

It seems an age since Grant arrived at Albion back in 2020 - penning a long term six year contract.

Aside from a campaign at Cardiff City on loan, he has been a regular figure for Albion.

Last season he showed some of his best form early in the season, and remains a big part of the plans.

Whether Grant has done enough to land a new deal will be dependant on this season - but he could be another big money signing of the past who departs on a free.

Ousmane Diakite

Last summer's free transfer has very much been a squad player during his time at Albion.

He made a number of substitute appearances last season coupled with a few starts - and has been a late substitute in three of Albion's four league games so far.

Diakite's two year deal runs out next summer - but the club have an option in their favour.

Joe Wildsmith

The number two keeper penned a two year deal on arrival. It runs out next summer - and with the well talked about young talent coming through the Albion ranks, it may be the case that his Albion stay doesn't extend beyond June 2024.

Daryl Dike

The big money signing of January 2022 - Dike's struggles with injury have been well publisiced.

When he has been fit and firing he has been a real asset to Albion - but he has spent much more time on the treatment table than on the field.

His deal runs out next summer and at 25, Albion have a decision to make.

Dike has quality but his injury record is rotten. Do they cut their losses or offer him a new deal in the hope he stays injury free? It is a decision to make.
