Mat Sadler issues injury update on Walsall duo Evan Weir and Jamie Jellis

Mat Sadler has confirmed defender Evan Weir will be available when Walsall welcome Chesterfield to Bescot on Saturday.

Weir was forced off midway into the first half of the Saddlers' 1-0 win over MK Dons on Saturday, after suffering from the after effects of a late challenge from Luke Offord in the opening exchanges.

Sadler issued a positive update on the Irishman, but will continue to assess Jamie Jellis, who was also withdrawn at half-time in Milton Keynes due to a 'groin issue'.

Weir 'absolutely fine'

"Evan is fine, absolutely fine, so no worries with him," the Walsall boss revealed.
