Darts round-up: Powell proves unstoppable again

He defeated Joe Turner 4-0 in the final, having ousted Harry Williams 4-1 in the semi-finals.

Turner came through a tough 4-3 battle with George Willetts in the last four, while losing in the quarter-finals were Dan Homer, Jordan Grainger, Rhys Butler and Mart Greenwood.

William Archer had a great 3-2 victory over Dudley Ex in the West Midlands Super League - Jack Flowers, Alfie Corbett and Chris Mcfarlane Jnr all winning.

Junction A got the better of Gilberts A 4-1 courtesy of Wayne Hobday, Al Smith, Mark Jones and Ian Stanton, while Chase Social Thrashed Gate Inn 5-0 thanks to Sean Craig, Dan Hands, Jordan Craig, Roger Harris and Kieran O’Mahiney.

Parkes Hall retained their unbeaten start to Coseley Friday League campaign, while ending Wednesfield Cons A's own undefeated streak - Harry Williams, Mark Rollinson, Mark Jones, Jamie Rollinson and Joe Turner the Parkes Hall victors.

Another unbeaten side, Lower Gornal BL B, took out Hurst Hill 5-1 thanks to Spike Green, Owen Maiden, Ash Marson, Adam Edgar and Mark Maiden, while Allen's Bar had a 5-1 victory over Gate B courtesy of Al Smith, Sam Bissell, Lee Jordan, Wayne Hobday and Adam Evans.

Wednesfield Legion moved to the summit in the Wednesfield Sunday League after winning 5-1 at County with wins from Gareth Smith, Ryan Bourne, Craig Carey, Glen Mcgrandle and Paul Simmons.

Junction defeated Victoria 4-2 thanks to Jimmy Handley, Mikey Harris, Rich Newey and Phil Mayo, while Glassy Junction had a 4-2 away victory at Gunmakers - John Aston, Callum Parkes, John Griffiths and Rob Thompson all winning.

Moreton Arms look to be out of Tettenhall Wednesday League title race after going down to Red Lion B 4-3 - Aaron Jones, Shane Preston, Dave Bull and Billy Jones doing the damage.

Swan Compton came from three down to defeat Dog A 4-3 thanks to John Mycock Jnr, Mick Scott, Jason McNally and Dodge Booth, while Claregate took a topsy-turvy battle 4-3 at Red Lion A - Joe Fellows, Lee Quarry, Billy-Jo Davies and Anthony Taylor all winning.
