Young West Brom forward who was handed FA Cup debut lands first loan move to League One
West Brom youngster Akeel Higgins has become the latest player to depart the club on loan.
Eyes have been on where Albion's young stars may go on loan before the deadline - with Harry Whitwell having made the switch to Forest Green Rovers last month.
Other youngsters such as Ollie Bostock and Alex Williams have been named in the first team squad so far this season - but it has been expected some youngsters would be sent out to gain first team experience.
And one of those is youngster Higgins - who is set to link up with League One side Exeter City on a season long loan deal.
The 20-year-old was out of contract with Albion earlier this summer - but was handed a one year deal.
His only first team action came during the FA Cup win over Aldershot back in January 2024 - but he has been a regular for the Albion PL2 side over the last three seasons.
