Striker Josh Gordon departs Walsall to re-join League Two rivals on loan
Walsall have confirmed that striker Josh Gordon has joined League Two rivals Barrow on a season-long loan.
The 30-year-old, who has entered the final year of his deal with the Saddlers, has featured just 25 minutes from the bench in League Two this term.
Gordon re-joins Barrow after scoring 22 goals in 85 appearances during his previous two-year stay at Holker Street.
Since returning to Bescot permanently in 2024, Gordon saw his previous campaign hampered by two serious hamstring injury, as he scored twice in 12 games in all competitions.
The arrival of Aaron Pressley from Stevenage earlier in the window and the loan signing of Daniel Kanu from Charlton Athletic has seen Gordon drop further down the pecking order under Mat Sadler.
Across three separate spells, Gordon scored 30 goals and set-up 11 more in 158 appearances for Walsall in total.
