Karlan Grant and Krystian Bielik injury latest and when West Brom duo could return to action
Amongst all the talk of the superb performance at Stoke and the transfer window - there were some notable absentees from the squad.
After last week's transfer window departures - Albion were facing two injuries heading into the weekend that left Ryan Mason having to field two goalkeepers on the bench at the Bet365 Stadium.
Youngster Alex Williams as well as Ollie Bostock were named among the substitutes - and alongside number two goalkeeper Joe Wildsmith was young New Zealander Joe Wallis.
Wallis has seemingly been promoted to third choice after the departure of Ted Cann earlier this summer - and he came in to make up the numbers on the bench.
Albion were missing two senior players in Krystian Bielik and Karlan Grant for the game against Stoke. But how long will they be out for?
Krystian Bielik and Karlan Grant latest
Speaking after the win at Stoke, Mason said:"On Krystian and Karlan, Karlan has had a quad problem.
"He has been nursing it for a while and we hope that it gets fixed and he won't be out for too long.
"Krystian has not played yet, he had a disruptive pre-season. He has a muscle problem but that won't keep him out for too long.
"We want to keep the group together. We did have one less (outfield) player today, but it didn't affect things."
