Reg Smith opened the scoring before Jude King doubled their lead in the second half.

Uttoxeter were given a lifeline with a penalty that they converted, before Will Whieldon scored a penalty of his own for Brocton to get the win.

Manager Alex Curtis said: “Very happy with the result and the performance.

"The result was everything today particularly after Monday and we thoroughly deserved the win.

"We played some good stuff first half and perhaps should have scored more goals. What pleased me most was the way we stood up to Uttoxeter after they had pulled a goal back. It was everything we didn’t do last week.”

Elsewhere in the league, Lye Town won 2-1 at 1874 Northwich, coming from behind with a strike from Nathaneal Dixon and a 91st minute winner from Elliott Ball.

Meanwhile, AFC Wolverhampton City and Tividale both played out goalless draws against Studley and Coton Green respectively and Stourport Swifts and Stone Old Alleyians drew 1-1.
