Non-league round up: Chasetown force FA Cup replay
Chasetown forced a replay in the first qualifying round of the FA Cup after coming from behind to draw at Worcester City.
The hosts took the lead in the 31st minute when Liam Lockett finished off a counter attack to twist and turn in the box and fire into the roof of the net.
Worcester came close to extending their lead through a direct free-kick and a corner shortly after that caused chaos in the box.
But less than 10 minutes into the second half Chasetown levelled through Joey Butlin.
The visitors had a late chance to win it but were unable to keep a close range effort on target, followed by a last minute header that dashed wide, as both sides settled for a draw and will now face a replay on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, Northern Premier sides Hednesford and Rushall Olympic both picked up FA Cup wins.
Hednesford hosted Basford United and took an early lead Ahkeem Rose fired home from a Joel Taylor cross.
The visitors equalised just after half-time, but the Pitmen regained their lead when Ryan Wynter scrambled the ball over the line from a corner.
Dan Trickett-Smith added a late third with a superb strike from distance to secure the cup victory.
Rushall had an even more convincing win with a 5-1 win over Atherstone Town Community.
Sam Whittall headed them into an early lead before Liam McAlinden swiftly nodded home a second.
The headed goals kept coming as Fenton Heard put Rushall 3-0 up and firmly in control after just 27 minutes before Whittall made it four headed goals in the 31st minute.
The visitors pulled a goal back before half-time but they never came close to a remarkable recovery as Heard added a fifth in the second half.
Stourbridge also progressed in the FA Cup with a 2-0 win at Hanley, while Halesowen Town drew 1-1 with Stratford Town.
In league action, Kidderminster Harriers secured a late 1-0 win at Curzon Ashton.
The hosts actually started the game brighter and came closer with their first half chances.
Seb Thompson came closest for Harriers when he directed an effort over the bar in the 37th minute, before the visitors made a handful of half-time changes for some fresh impetus.
Harriers went close when Emeka Obi met a Joe Foulkes cross and Jordan Tunnicliffe poked wide from the loose ball.
The breakthrough came after 76 minute when Kia Innocent threaded a pass through to Luke Spokes, who rifled a low strike into the bottom corner from the edge of the area, bagging his first goal for the club.
Curzon pushed for an equaliser late in the game but Harriers defended well to see out the result and secure back-to-back National League North wins.
Harriers sit seventh in the division with three wins, two draws and one loss from their opening six league games.
They now travel to face King's Lynn Town on Tuesday night before hosting Macclesfield at the weekend - the two teams that sit above them in fifth and sixth in the table.
In the Northern One West, Darlaston Town suffered a heavy 4-1 defeat to Mossley.
Stafford Rangers also tasted defeat, losing 2-0 at Lower Breck, while Sporting Khalsa drew 1-1 with Boston Town in the FA Cup.
