Former West Brom playmaker Grady Diangana departs English football and signs two year deal with new club
Grady Diangana has become the latest released West Brom player to land a new club.
The playmaker departed Albion earlier this summer at the end of his contract - having spent six years at The Hawthorns after his loan move from West Ham was made permanent.
Diangana netted 26 goals in 202 appearances for Albion - but the club decided against offering him a new deal.
His future has been the subject of much speculation across the summer - with Diangana linked to clubs in England and in Saudi Arabia.
It was reported last month that there was firm interest in the Saudi Pro League.
However, on Saturday Diangana's destination was confirmed as the 27-year-old penned a two year deal with La Liga side Elche.
Announcing his signing, the club said: "With his signing, Elche expands its attacking resources and adds a player with proven experience in European and international competitions.
"Diangana joins the Franjiverde project with the ambition of growing alongside the team and contributing his talent to the collective goal. Welcome, Grady!"
