MK Dons move quickly to solve full-back issue ahead of Walsall clash
New signing John Mellish could make his MK Dons debut when they host Walsall at the Stadium MK tomorrow.
The 27-year-old arrived in Berkshire on loan from League One side Wigan Athletic this week, after right-back Gethin Jones limped off in the Dons' 2-1 win at Newport County last weekend.
That left them very thin on the ground in the full-back area and Paul Warne has moved quickly to bring Mellish on board, with fellow right-back Joe Tomlinson also injured.
MK have once again been bold on the transfer market, with the arrivals of former Premier League players, such as Nathaniel Mendez-Laing and Callum Patterson.
Their summer spend has so far yielded the desired results, with Warne guiding them to three wins and two draws from their opening five games.
