Step 5-6 round-up: Wolverhampton City and Dudley maintain 100 per cent starts
AFC Wolverhampton City maintained their 100 per cent record in the Midland League Premier Division with a 1-0 win at Stourport Swifts.
Daniel Munday extended his season tally to five goals with his match-winner in the 21st-minute, as Wolverhampton City made it three league wins on the spin.
Dudley Town have also claimed maximum points from their opening three games and occupy the league summit on goal difference after beating Romulus 3-2.
Ben Graham fired Romulus into an early lead, but Matthew Funge bagged a brace either side of Ethan Muckley's strike to propel Dudley into a two-goal lead at the break.
Ryan Nesbitt halved the deficit seven minutes after the restart but early leaders Dudley eventually emerged with the three points.
Jack Storer bagged a brace and Matt Holland also got on the score sheet to guide Tividale to their first victory of the season against Brocton.
Christian Blanchette and Charlie King netted for Brocton, who remain winless and sit just one place above the drop zone.
Lye Town were condemned to a 6-2 drubbing by Studley with Christopher Uwabor and Dylan Parker bagging braces for the victors.
Luke Sidaway and Elliott Ball scored the goals for Lye, who were reduced to nine-men following red cards for Joseph Burroughs and Sam Hall.
Elsewhere, Jack Tomlinson netted a late consolation for Stone Old Alleynians, as they were suffered a 2-1 home defeat against 1874 Northwich.
In Division One, leaders Gornal Athletic registered their eighth consecutive league win to maintain their 100 per cent record with a 2-0 success at Wednesfield.
Jack Till and substitute Traevay Wright both scored to leave Wednesfield sitting just one place and three points above the bottom three.
Cradley Town missed the chance to move level on points with Wednesfield after losing 2-1 at Birmingham OJM.
Dominic Latham opened the scoring for OJM, before Cole Wells equalised for Cradley just past the hour, but Marco Addagio secured victory for the hosts with a winner from the bench.
Callum Bright scored twice and Ricardo Heaven scored the other as Bilston Town eased to a 3-0 win at Chelmsley Town.
Smethwick Rangers suffered a 1-0 defeat on the road at Leicester St Andrews, with James Merriman scoring the only goal on 20 minutes.
Bewdley Town climbed into fifth in the Hellenic League Division One with a 2-0 win over Alcester Town courtesy of a brace from Elliott Lees.
