There is just under two weeks left for clubs to do their summer business before the transfer window slams shut.

There has already been a big transfer window difference this year - as it opened prior to the Club World Cup before briefly closing again.

It allowed clubs in the tournament, as well as others, to do business before hand.

It re-opened just days later and clubs have been busy adding to their squad for the new campaign.

Wolves, Albion, Villa and Walsall have made additions to their squad while they have also seen some key exits.

Now with 12 days left of the window they will be working on their final deals - with the window closing on September 1.

But there is a difference this year.

It was announced back at the start of the summer that the transfer window would be undergoing a slight change - that will make life easier for everyone involved in the chaos of the final day.

In the past the transfer window in England was open until midnight - which then changed to 11pm.

Now, it has been brought forward again.

From this year, the governing bodies have decided to make a change to the time of the window closing - bringing it forward to 7pm.

This is so it is more in line with the normal working patterns for staff across football - with leagues in Europe also expected to do the same.

Clubs will have a two hour grace period after the window does shut to complete deals - only providing the paperwork has been submitted to the FA by 7pm.

The change will come into place for the first time - however it is unsure if it will stretch to the winter transfer window in January.

That is set to run from January 1 to February 2 - but no decision has yet been made on closing times.
