Frustrated boss calls for more after Kidderminster Harriers held
Frustrated boss Adam Murray accused Kidderminster Harriers of getting “sucked in” by Worksop’s gameplan in Saturday’s 1-1 draw.
Harriers made a dream start in Nottinghamshire when David Davis put them ahead inside three minutes.
But they were pegged back when Luke Waterfall scored following a free-kick and after being unable to find a winner, Murray certainly saw it as two points dropped.
He said: “I’m not the type to dress things up. I said to the boys on Friday these are the games, facing a newly-promoted team on a 3G pitch, if you don’t win people say it is a good point on the road.
“I am not having it. We have to win these games. Yes, it is a good point but every point is a good point but if we are serious about doing something special this season, you have to put these games to bed.
“We had chances to win the game and we were not ruthless enough. We got sucked in to their gameplan and we were naive at times.
“It’s a good point - but I want more.”
