Walsall 'ready to act' on right deals in transfer window's final fortnight
Mat Sadler says Walsall are ready to pounce should any opportunities arise in the final fortnight of the transfer window.
The Saddlers boss would like to add at least two more players to his squad before the September 1 deadline.
But while no deals are imminent, Sadler says the club are ready to move quickly should any viable targets become available at short-notice.
The boss, who has added 11 new players to the ranks, is prepared to be patient if required.
Asked if the club were close to any new signings, he replied: “These things change with a phone call. Imminently? No. But these things change.
“I say every time I am very happy with my squad. I think it is very important I state that every time I get asked about the window because I have guys in there, as you saw (at Stoke) on Tuesday, who are doing everything they can and it is disrespectful to talk about other players at that time.
“But you know how these things work and if there are things which happen, we will try and act.
“It’s important to remember we have a group who are desperate to do well for each other. Anything you do has to follow that.”
