West Brom player ratings v Derby with one standout and two marked down in EFL Cup late show
West Brom found themselves dumped out of the EFL Cup opening round yet again - as Derby progressed on penalties.

After dominating large parts of the game it looked as though Aune Heggebo had won it for Albion with his first goal since his summer arrival.
But Joe Ward wrapped in a 96th minute free kick to send the game to penalties - before the Rams prevailed 3-2 on spot kicks.
Joe Wildsmith 6
Nothing to do first half, and hardly anything to do throughout the second half but for a routine save. However, was beaten for the 96th minute free kick, when he may have done better. Denied one penalty in the shoot-out but didn't get close to others.
Alex Williams 7
A big night for the youngster and he more than held his own. Neat on the ball and hardly gave the ball away. Went close to a dream early opener - before two big tackles kept the Derby winger out. Quiet second half but did well.
George Campbell 6
A little slack in possession at times but wanted to get forward when he good and was solid in the air. Almost set Heggebo up for a chance with a lovely first half knock down. Had to deal with an aerial threat late on and did well.
Caleb Taylor 6
A largely good and solid night for Taylor. Good on the ball with only the odd pass going astray. Looked composed and won some key headers late on - but will be disappointed with the free kick he gave away late on.
