Aune Heggebo reveals West Brom 'season ticket' desire as striker hails support after Albion impact
Aune Heggebo is already starting to make his mark at The Hawthorns.
The Norwegian striker who arrived in a £4.7m from Brann in the summer - made his competitive bow in the 1-0 win over Blackburn Rovers on Saturday.
His powerful display caught the eye of the Albion fans - who were impressed by what they say from their new front man.
It has been a big change for Heggebo, moving from a relatively small league and club in comparison to Albion and the Championship.
However, Heggebo has given an insight into the support he has received from his family back home.
And he explained how his father is keen to potentially become an adopted Baggie on the not too distant future.
He said: "I've had a lot of people say they want to come.
"For example, my Dad was wondering if maybe he should get a season ticket because he wants one, he likes to watch every game I play and also English football in general.
"My family has been over already, so there has been a lot of supporter from home and its a nice group to come into here at Albion."
Heggebo also gave a further insight into his background - and how back in Norway his family have a big sporting connection.
And his love of sport runs further than just football - due to his father.
He added: "My mum is working in insurance, doing a bit of everything and my Dad works in a sports club called Bjarg.
"It's not like a top club, but it is a local club so there is a lot of sports he's responsible for there like, handball, football, track, athletics.
"It's been a lot of football. My Dad was a track and field coach when he was younger, so I did the track and field a lot."
