Ryan Mason gives insight into West Brom 'investment' after sharing special Albion win with family
It has been clear to see how focussed and driven Ryan Mason has been during the first few weeks at Albion.
The ex-Tottenham assistant boss has no doubt been keen to make a big impression from the outset.
He seems to have done that with his players and he certainly did with the supporters on Saturday - as his battling Baggies ran out 1-0 winners in the season opener against Blackburn Rovers.
It was a huge moment for Mason in his first permanent managerial job to get a win under his belt on the opening weekend.
He shared the moment with his family - with the Albion head coach emerging from the tunnel around 45 minutes after full time along with his family and children, who were out on the Hawthorns playing surface.
And Mason have a little insight into just how much he has been putting into his new head coach rule - and how it plays a part in his family life.
He explained: "Immense pride, I've spoken a lot about this club and why it feels right.
"I'm investing everything in it. I had my family, my kids here and I haven't seen them in weeks.
"I'm so invested in this place, there are so many good people, and the fans did an amazing job to get behind us.
"I've not seen my kids in a couple of weeks so it was nice for them to be here and share that with me.
"We're not getting carried away, we've got a game Tuesday and Saturday.
"But it is important that when you win, you enjoy it for a small period because you put so much energy into it."
Mason will have no doubt enjoyed his Saturday evening after watching his side pick up a first win and then a first clean sheet of the campaign in the victory over Blackburn.
However, as he has reiterated before, they have only had a small amount of time together and their work is not yet where he fully wants it to be.
He added: "I know this team is going to look better, going to play better and create more chances.
"We are six weeks into something but it is pleasing to see the togetherness and belief and the lads working together for each other."
