Staffordshire's Ben Bolton named in England Men's Home Internationals squad
Staffordshire golfer Ben Bolton has been included in the England Men's team for the upcoming Home Internationals.
Bolton, who represents Enville Golf Club, is one of nine men who are part of the 16-player combined men's and women's squad for the competition later in August.
The Women's and Men's Home Internationals take place at Lincolnshire's Woodhall Spa Golf Club between August 6 and August 8.
England are looking to add to two victories from three editions of the competition since the event became combined in 2022.
Wombourne's Bolton, 18, claimed the 2025 Berkhamsted Trophy in April and was part of the England men's team which won the 2025 Octagonal Match and the biennial international match against Spain, also in April.
Making up the men's team are Eliot Baker, Seb Cave, Dominic Clemons, Lewy Hayward, Tom Osborne, Jake Sowden, Freddie Turnell and Jamie Van Wyk.
“It’s a great opportunity on home soil for the men and women and we expect to be competitive once again," said England Golf deputy performance director Steve Burnett.
"We’ve got a great mix of experience and youngsters, who have the opportunity to shine.
“There are lots of new faces in the Boys’ & Girls’ Squad heading over to Ireland which is great to see, and we expect to be challenging for the title and hope to keep up our 100 per cent winning record.”
