West Brom's Wrexham trip selection sees league return to free-to-air TV after more than 20 years
It is more than 20 years since Albion appeared live in a league game on free to air TV.
But that will change on the second weekend of the season - with a live Albion league game returning to ITV.
You have to go back as far as the 2001/2002 Premier League promotion winning campaign, when Albion were regularly on ITV digital, for the last time they appeared live in a league clash on free to air TV.
Now they will return to ITV for their first away game of the season, after their visit to Wrexham has been selected by ITV for broadcast.
It means that the game will be shown on both ITV and Sky Sports that weekend - after ITV again signed a deal to air 20 live matches this season, made up of ten EFL Cup clashes and 10 league games.
The deal that ITV and Sky has means that they can jointly broadcast games on both challenges, and the arrangement has been approved by EFL clubs in accordance with the league's regulations.
Albion have regularly appeared on Sky Sports and BT Sport over their years in the Premier League. Elsewhere, they have appeared in FA Cup clashes on both ITV and BBC.
Their last ITV live game was the infamous Black Country Derby that was embroiled in controversy.
But this trip to Wrexham will be their first free to air live league game for more than two decades.
