LIV Golf CEO, Scott O’Neil, announced today (July 23) that JCB Golf and Country Club near Uttoxeter will host the series between July 24 and 26 next year.

It comes as the par-71, 7,276-yard course, that is widely regarded as one of the best in the country, hosts the series for the second time this week.

LIV Golf, that was formed in 2021 to rival the PGA Tour, held it’s first event in the UK at the Centurion Club near London. But, it was announced in November 2023 that the series would head to JCB in the West Midlands.

Some of the world’s best golfers, including two-time major champions Jon Rahm and Bryson DeChambeau, will tee it up in Uttoxeter this week, alongside England‘s Tyrrell Hatton, Lee Westwood and Ian Poulter.

”We would like to announce that between July 24 and 26 next year, we will be returning to JCB,” said LIV Golf CEO, O’Neil.

“We are thrilled to be back at an incredible course in a country that I absolutely love.

“I can’t tell you how amazing it is to be a part of revolutionising and changing the world of golf, it starts with partners like that at JCB.”

The JCB Golf and Country Club was established in 2018 by Lord Bamford, chairman of JCB, with an aim to promote the JCB brand and host high-profile golf tournaments.

JCB’s Chief Executive Officer Designate, Graeme Macdonald, said: “When we set out on this journey, our ambition was to build a tournament venue and host world-class players, the best in the world, here in little old Staffordshire.

“Last year when we had the inaugural LIV Golf event at JCB we certainly fulfilled that ambition. We have listened to feedback from the LIV Golf team and players and have made a lot of investment over the last 12 months and made modifications and improvements to the golf course.

“We really do value the relationship we have with LIV Golf. We share a lot of the same values of innovation, disruption. Both of us like to disrupt traditional industries, us with the construction and equipment industry and LIV with Golf, it brings lots of new people into the wonderful sport.

“We are delighted that we have agreed a one-year extension to host LIV Golf next year.

“Fingers crossed the weather will be good this year and that we are going to have a bigger and better event.”
